The Pā, an iconic award-winning landmark, is located at the heart of the University's Hamilton campus. The building opened in 2023 and hosts the university's graduation ceremonies and many significant events. Its seemless integrates and reflects the university's unique cultural hertitage and mission of being Ko Te Tangata or for the people.
In this space, Te Āhurutanga | The Hub, the opening and closing ceremonies, plenary sessions, and conference dinner will be held.
A modern cluster of lecture halls located adjacent to The Pā will host the parallel sessions and the conference breaks. Each lecture hall has tiered seating, flexible IT facilities, and handheld and lapel microphones.
The nearest international airport is Auckland airport, 1 hour 30 mins from Hamilton, with regular bus services every one to two hours. Alternatively, book a spot on a shared or solo shuttle or hire an EV or hybrid car from the airport.
The University is situated on the east side of Hamilton in the suburb of Hillcrest, about 4 km from Hamilton Central. The Waikato river runs through the middle of Hamilton, flowing from south to north.
